Linda told me in grade 8 the smart Asian stereotype is a myth. Her mom says it's just the smart people who immigrate to Canada. You must've been at the top of your class to have that privilege and then in Canada you pass on your intelligent genes to your pre-determinedly intelligent children.
However, centuries ago China was much more technologically advanced than the Westerners, who'ad just began to grasp scientific concepts the Asians (to speak broadly) figured out long ago.
Regardless of the countries' current standings, I've always wondered why the Chinese collectively were so smart. It could've been their difficult language, large population; probably a combination of many such factors.
But I'd like to think that it's because Asian countries put greater value on introversion than those louder Westerners.
